Must-go places in London

Another journey with us to Europe, this time we’re exploring… London, UK!

We’re going to start right off with the most iconic symbols that will instantly make you say “it’s London!”

Do you recognize these places? They are none other than the Big Ben and London Eye. If you haven’t visited them, we suggest that you do because…

we’re sure you don’t want to miss a chance to see this view! Were you struck by the sight?

..Well I certainly was struck by it!

According to the Big Ben website, you cannot enter the clock tower unless you own a British citizenship. We own thai passports so we had no chance of getting in, so you guys British out there please share the experience with us!

London Eye comes in a package of 2 -3 attractions with different prices. The selections include the famous London Eye’s fairy wheels ride, a 45-minute cruise ride down the Thames river, Shrek’s Dungeon, London bus tour and more. I didn’t think my mother would enjoy an adventurous walk in the dungeon so I decided not to go.. for now, until my next trip to London (*big smiley face*).

Oh! and by the way, this is one of the panoramic sights you’ll get as you are cruising down the well-known river, the beautiful Tower Bridge!

We couldn’t just watch it from afar so we came to see it up close, that’s just how the Borwornsenee family rules. Follow my pointing to find the gorgeous suspension bridge that should be on your bucket list if you ever wanted to visit London.

If you know the United Kingdom, you must know its royal ruler.. queen Elizabeth, princess Diana, princess Kate Middleton, prince William, etc.

Well you really haven’t reached UK if you didn’t drop by Westminster Abbey, one of the most notable churches or traditional places where it hosts numerous royal coronations and burials of English monarchs. FYI (for your information), if you missed the news Westminster Abbey is where Kate Middleton and prince William said “I do”… so be very honoured!

Historical and fascinating place like this must be appreciated with human eyes only… the reason I said that is because taking photos inside is not permitted so… put your phones and cameras away while the staff gives you an audio recording thingy to guide you through this beautiful place! Savour every moment and enjoy it!

My mom was doing a sassy hair flip to hide the fact that she was sad that she couldn’t do her favourite thing– taking photo — as it wasn’t allowed… Sorry mommy!

We didn’t get enough royalty-feels so we decided to pay a visit to this lovely Buckingham Palace!

There must be someone really famous or some royalties arriving at the place or something cause man it was so crowded with tourists or visitors! What you saw was not even half of the people, it was insane.

UK’s royal families are full of mystery as they don’t really let people inside their palaces, but even a glimpse of the palace itself was more than enough for this trip.

We got to see the royal soldiers rehearsing their marches, that made it even better!

We, as non-English, decided that since we were in England we might as well try to blend in with the surrounding by taking a tea break and regain our energy at Cellarium Cafe and Terrace, which locates only couple minutes after from Westminster Abbey. Elegant as it is, this Cellarium Afternoon Tea set comes with homemade scones and cakes, savouries, and of course, tea. The lovely selection is £17.5 per set, not bad at all.

As you know my mother, she can never take a break from shopping… as usual.

No shopping malls can compare to this fabulous Harrods mall, just imagine how much each item costs in there made me feel so delighted (*dry laughs*).

If you see people carrying a lot of green plastic bags with Harrods stamped on them and wonder ‘how can people be so rich?’, the answer is they aren’t as they all visit the food court area just like what we did haha.

They’ve got selections of chocolate, tea and variety of things that will blind you because there are so many to choose from.

As citizens of Thailand, it is tough to steal our desire to visit the most famous thai buddhist temple in London.

We are very patriotic with our culture and religious so wherever thai-related places are, we won’t rest until we find it (*the national anthem song plays*).
